Good evening everyone 🙂
I should post here more frequently… well.. I will try my best to be a bit more active!
So. Here are my Disney Pricesses so far in its full glory
Lets start with my newest costume:
This costume was made out of dupioni silk and beautiful butterfly lace. I am not such a huge fan of Cinderella and wasn’t very excited to make this costume… BUT after I finished it right now I really like the outcome 🙂

Well, Belle on the other hand was one costume that I deperately wanted to realize! I love the whole Disney Movie and also the original story of the Beauty and the Beast and I wanted to capture not just the disney costume bur also get a more romantic and realistic touch to it.

The next princess is Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. At first I was a bit unsure if I should make the costume blue or pink but since I had the pink fabric laying around the choice was really easy 😉

And last but not least my Snow White version. This costume got sooo many complimentsand everybody seems to freak out when they see it…. I never imagined to get such an awesome feedback for one costume… but I guess this color combination and the white collar are so well known, that everybody knows immediately whicht charakter it should represent 🙂

The next princess on my list will be Rapunzel. And this costume will be more than epic! I am really excited to start this project very soon^^
Two weeks before I had an amazing photoshooting in the Schlosshotel Münchhausen with my dearest photographer and friend Hanny Honeymoon Photography. I will link her website here if you don’t know her already 😉 *click here*
I made also a little video at the shooting. So if you are curious, feel free to watch me also in motion 😉
The photoshoot was really awesome! Even with the short time that we had there, many nice pictures were made and I’m happy to show you the first one made by Hanny Honeymoon of course!
This costume is my version of the russian fairytale princess Anastasia Romanov and is based on russian court gowns. I love the rich and dark color of velvet (actually the velvet is midnight blue but it was really dark in the castle so it appears more black). Such a luxurious material! But also very heavy! The whole costume weights around 8 Kilo or 16 pounds…. Hope you like it as much as I do 🙂
It’s already March… and the outdoor photoshooting session will start soon… It’s time to talk about my costume plans for this year. 🙂
Since I’m involved in a huge fairytale calendar project I need to sew many fairytale themed costumes. Some are already finished – luckily I can use some of my already existing costumes for the project. 🙂
But these are the costumes that need to be done so far:
- Red Riding Hood
- Odette (Swanprincess)
- Frog King
- Belle (Beauty and the Beast)
The next one will be the costume for the princess of the frog king. I bought already all materials and have started with the blouse for this costume. I promise to make some work in progress pictures!
But that’s not all that I have planned for this year!
For the WGT in May I planned two new outfits. One will be completely red and the other one black and green. I will start with the red one soon!
For the second period of the year I’m planning my version of Poison Ivy, which will be more covered but very elegant. 😉 Additionally I would like sew a new baroque dress in black with much glitter and an Asian princess costume in gold/brown with a hint of red…. but I don’t know if I will find the time in my ambitious schedule.
This would make in total 11 costumes (+ 2, I already finished two costumes in the last weeks.)
So we will see how much I can realize this year!
